Kleiton and Thiago's session took place in downtown Rio de Janeiro, and it was one of those that flowed easily. The two chose classic tuxedos and brought a strong, elegant, very natural presence to the photos.
Downtown Rio has a mix that works incredibly well for couple sessions. Striking architecture, old textures, beautiful light, and an urban aesthetic that speaks directly to a more editorial approach without feeling distant.
Editorial session in downtown Rio
This session moved through iconic spots downtown, using the city as part of the story. Staircases, monuments, historic façades and streets that are part of Rio's everyday life. All of it unhurried, at ease.
The tuxedo came in as a strong element. Classic, elegant and timeless. A choice that suits couples who care about image and identity.
A couple session with naturalness
More than a beautiful session, this work says a lot about how I like to photograph. I work with LGBTQIA+ couple sessions in Rio de Janeiro in a simple, respectful way. No stereotypes. No staged scenes. Every couple has their own way, their own rhythm, their own way of connecting.
Kleiton and Thiago brought lightness, exchange and presence. My role was to observe, guide when necessary, and let the session happen.
This is also what representation means
Seeing two men, in tuxedos, walking through downtown Rio with confidence and ease shows that every love deserves to be photographed with care and attention.
If you're looking for an LGBTQIA+ couple session in Rio de Janeiro, or want references for a photo session downtown, Kleiton and Thiago's work shows well the kind of coverage I create: photos with presence, identity and staying power.
